Trying out a new very affordable mount tonight – the Star Adventurer 2i from Sky Watcher, as well as a new-to-me scope: The Williams Optics Redcat 51. Paired with my full frame unmodified Canon 6D it provides a very nice wide field view of the sky.
For this shot I used the Baader Ha 7nm filter and set it to capture 60 1minute exposures. No autoguiding necessary.
Using an unmodified Canon with an Ha filter isnt exactly advised, but with light pollution levels at a Bortle 8 there was no choice. As such there was a lot of stretching involved and the noise was unavoidable.
